Whole Wheat Sugar Cookies

adapted from Food From the Kernel

  • 3c whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 c butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c raw sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp lemon extract
  • 3/4 tsp salt
    Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Add dry ingredients and milk. Mix to form soft dough. Chill. Roll small amounts of dough on well-floured surface to 1/4" thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 F for 10 - 12 minutes.
